Morocco's Berber community condemned what they term the "expropriation" of their land at a protest in Casablanca on Sunday.

The crowd brought along the Berber or Amazigh ethnic flag and banners carrying their message in several languages. Chants were led by figures on a float at the head of the demonstration.

The nomadic farmers are facing pressure from competing grazers on their land and have demanded better protection from the government.
