This time we travel to Morocco. With Engel and Ricardo, we climbed Mount Toubkal. With its 4,167mt, is the highest peak in North Africa. From the top, we experienced amazing views of the Atlas mountains. The documentary tells how the 2-day trek was organized and how difficult is to get to the top. Everyone can do it, but need to be prepared for a trek that is technically easy, but challenging from a physical standpoint. All started in the village of Imlil, at 1,750mt. The first day was easy, it took 6 hours, including long stop for lunch and filming,to reach the base camp at 3,200mt. We got there just in time before it started raining. The day after we woke up at 4am to start acending. It was a strenuous walk uphill, with a cold wind blowing and the sun coming out as we were approaching the top. After having enjoyed the view from the peak, we started descending. We took a de-tour to nearby mount Tibherine (3,880mt) to see the debris of a plane that crashed here in 1969. Apparently it was a cargo plane that was bringing ammunition to the Government of Biafra during the Nigerian civil war. As we descend to the valley, we got a small injury which forced one of us to finish the last few miles on a mule
