Cette vidéo a été tournée sur la place « Bab Sidi Abdel wahab » près de la porte du même nom. Autrefois La Bab sidi Abdelwahhab était aussi appelée bab rios « porte des têtes » (le Maghzen accrochait les têtes coupées des rebelles). Bab sidi Abdelwahhab est aussi une entrée pour le souk de la médina. A noté la mosquée Al Fadila.

Welcome to Oujda
Oujda is the largest city in eastern Morocco, with a modern facade that belies its millennium-old age. Despite its heritage, it receives very few foreign travellers. The reason for this is found on the map: it was once the busiest border crossing with Algeria, making it popular with traders and tourists alike. When the border closed in 1995, Oujda's economy took a major hit. However, recent tourism development along the nearby Mediterranean coast, and the consequent rise in importance of the airport, are having a positive knock-on effect. In addition, Oujda's university remains a mainstay of the economy and the city’s intellectual life.
Oujda is a city in northeast Morocco, near the Algerian border. It’s known for its Great Mosque, built in the late 13th century, with intricate carved wood and mosaic tiling. The mosque is in the old town, or medina, behind ramparts and the imposing Sidi Abdelouahab gate. Numerous shops and souks sell fruit, spices, jewelry and traditional clothing. The Art Gallery of Oujda shows modern and traditional Eastern art.
Lalla Meryem Park has flowering plants and trees, a small outdoor theater and a museum displaying traditional weapons. Nearby, the Moorish-style Dar Sebti Palace, built in 1938, houses a center for Arab-Andalusian music. It also hosts cultural events and exhibitions. The expansive Lalla Aicha Park has walkways lined with palms and mature oaks. On the city’s southeastern outskirts is the oasis of Sidi Yahia, with waterways and palm trees. It’s the site of the mausoleum of Sidi Yahia Ben Younis, the city’s patron saint, and hosts an annual festival in his honor.

http://www.gtc.edu Gateway Technical college hosted three visitors from EST university in Oujda Morocco that were here to learn about our use of applied learning and hands-on technology in a number of academic areas. EST Oujda is in the process of constructing a new automotive lab and is using Gateway's Horizon Center as a model for their new building.

They toured many Gateway campuses and Centers with a special focus on automotive, manufacturing, engineering, and renewable energy. The ability for the EST team to visit Gateway, talk with instructors, administrators and industry representatives from Snap-on and Trane, provided them the basis for the decisions they will be making around construction and equipment.
