Merzouga is a small village in southeastern Morocco, about 35 km southeast of Rissani, about 55 km from Erfoud, and about 50 km from the Algerian border.
Merzouga is renowned for its Dunes, the highest in Morocco. The village is known for its proximity to the largest Erg of Morocco "Erg Chebbi".
