Meknes is often overlooked on the Morocco tourist circuit, but that’s too bad, as it contains some of the best history and architecture of any Moroccan city. It’s also conveniently located between Rabat and Fez, making it an easy stop for tourists traveling to these cities. One of the other cool things about Meknes is that you won’t be bothered by hawkers near as much as Fez or Marrakech. You’ll also be able to experience more of everyday life.
