Our Riad had really messed our plans and tried to scamming us into staying longer in Fes then we wanted. Ultimately, we found a local bus to take us the next day. We took a 4.5 hour bus ride to Chefchaouen from Fes.

The local bus was great and actually much better than the CTM bus on the way back to Fes.

You will get dropped off at the bus station near the blue houses, so make sure to take a cab for about 15 dirham (per car, one way) to the closest point nearish your Riad or hotel.
