Leaving Marrakech in the morning, we see the countryside on desolate roads crossing arid dry areas. We enter and see what Chichaoua, a frontier town between Marrakech and Essaouira looks like. We then hit the brakes and see goats in trees! Yes, goats in trees. These are special goats that eat the Argan berries up in the tree off the Argan tree. We then arrive in a 1000 year old Unesco-protected city named Essaouira. This town was a former Portuguese and French fortress and now amazing city with medina in the city. Quite possibly one of the most picturesque places in Morocco.
