Meeting up with Danielle and exploring the Fes Medina together from the tanneries to the royal palace. Fes is the oldest of Morocco's imperial cities. Fes el Bali is the old medina, founded in the 9th century. The new town - Fes el Jedid was founded in 1276. Fès reached its height in the 13th–14th centuries when it replaced Marrakesh as the capital of the kingdom.
